At the start of last year's Six Nations campaign Jonny Wilkinson was England's talisman - we needed him to stabilise the team.
But his absence through injury gave other players, like Charlie Hodgson, the chance to show what they can do.
I thought we played some great attacking rugby during the autumn internationals and Charlie was a major factor behind that.
He plays for Sale and they have a number of quality backs - their attacking play is second to none.
They score a lot of tries which shows how creative Charlie is. Jonny is a world-class player, there is no doubt about that, but Charlie has improved and can unlock defences with his vision.
Andy Robinson is his own man, but I think you will see an England backline with both Charlie and Jonny playing in the future.
It would only work with Charlie playing at fly-half, but it would give England more options and it would take the pressure off both of them.
Jonny has had his injury problems but, knowing him like I do, he wont be thinking about them when he returns to the England set-up.
Hes single-minded and will make the big hits when he needs to.
I think he will come back fitter and stronger - he will be an even better player than before.
Hes been unfortunate to have three injuries one after the other, but I cant remember him being injured before in his rugby career.
