Paterson fit for Scots campaign

Chris Paterson has declared himself fit for Scotland's RBS 6 Nations opener against France next month.

The Edinburgh Gunners wing had been struggling with a hip injury, leaving a doubt over his involvement in Paris on February 5.

But, after kicking 13 points in the 23-0 Celtic League win over Llanelli on Friday, Paterson is ready for the international campaign.

He said: I feel so excited to be up and running again.

I felt like a nervous schoolboy before the kick-off, because it seemed as if I hadnt played for ages.

As regards my involvement with Scotland, I am feeling just great. There are no problems.
