Stade Toulousain and France captain Fabien Pelous looks set to be out of action for at least a week after injuring his left shoulder.
The 31-year-old lock picked up the knock during his club's 27-16 victory over Brive at the weekend.
He will undergo further medical tests this week to determine the exact nature of the injury, but it is not thought to be serious enough to threaten his participation in Les Bleus Autumn Test matches.
France face Australia at the Stade de France on November 13 before taking on Argentina in Marseille on November 20 and New Zealand at the Stade de France again a week later.
