Scotland will play their autumn Test series match against Japan at McDiarmid Park.
The home of First Division football side St Johnstone will become the seventh Scottish ground to host a home international.
The match will be played on Saturday, November 13 with a 5.30pm kick-off and venues for other matches in the series will be announced later in the week.
Scottish Rugby Chief Executive Phil Anderton said: The Scotland rugby team is the best supported international sports team in the country and we are very aware that many of our supporters travel long distances to cheer on their team.
I am delighted therefore that we are able to take the Scotland v Japan match to McDiarmid Park, Perth, a ground which benefits from excellent infrastructure links.
Indeed, 90% of the population of Scotland live within 90 minutes of the ground.
