Saracens coach Rod Kafer has described Irish international Darragh O'Mahony as a "great servant to the club" after the winger left by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old joined Saracens from Bedford in 1999, and was his new clubs top tryscorer for the next two seasons, going on to make 142 appearances.
Its always extremely difficult when we are forced to make squad decisions like this, especially with a player like Darragh, who has been a great servant to the club over a long period, said Kafer.
However, we always need to be looking to the future to get the balance right in the team. Unfortunately, at this point in time, weve had to make this decision.
Saracens are hoping to announce a new back division signing in the near future.
