Highly-rated France fly-half Frederic Michalak admits he is hoping to test himself in the Super 12.
The 21-year-old, who has just extended his contract with Toulouse until 2007, is keen to try his luck in the southern hemisphere competition after the next World Cup, which will be held in France in three years time.
Playing one or two seasons in the Super 12 is a dream I have had since I was a child, Michalak told rugby newspaper Midi Olympique.
This is the objective I have set myself by the World Cup.
Michalak, who has won 18 caps and helped France to the RBS 6 Nations title this year, would become the second French player to play in the Super 12 after Christian Califano.
