Abbott facing minor op

Wasps centre Stuart Abbott is going home early from England's summer tour to have a minor shoulder operation.

Abbott was injured in last Saturdays 36-12 defeat by New Zealand in Auckland and immediately ruled out of the World Cup final rematch against Australia on Saturday in Brisbane.

England coach Sir Clive Woodward is also sweating on the fitness of flanker Richard Hill (ankle), prop Trevor Woodman (shoulder) and centre Mike Tindall (hip) for the clash against the Wallabies.

Props Mike Worsley and Will Green arrived in Australia to bolster the England squad after appearing in the Churchill Cup final against the New Zealand Maoris in Canada over the weekend.
