Mark Gerrard has been ruled out of the Australia team to face Scotland in the first Test at Melbourne.
The Brumbies winger is suffering with a strained left thigh but is expected to be available for the second Test in Sydney on June 19.
Gerrard said: "At first I thought it was just a bit of soreness, but there is a strain and the doctors have told me to rest it for this weekend.
It's disappointing to be ruled out of selection and, while it's frustrating to be injured, I'm confident I'll be able to recover and put my hand up again for the second Test.
Wallabies coach Eddie Jones said: The injury is clearly disappointing for Mark because he has been training well and working hard since joining us in camp last week.
"Mark showed during the Super 12 that he has the ability to play Test match rugby and I'm confident he'll get that opportunity.
