Faliva worry for Kirwan
7 June 2004, 8:48 pm
Italy coach John Kirwan has admitted he is concerned about an injury to prop Gianluca Faliva which could force him out of the Test matches against Romania and Japan later this month.
Kirwan watched from the stands at the Lanfranchi Stadium in Parma, where Treviso star Faliva picked up a knock in a 13-13 draw with Overmach Parma in the first leg of the semi-final of the Italian Super 10 play-offs.

Italy will face Romania on June 26 before travelling to Tokyo to play Japan on July 4.

Kirwan said: It was a very intensive match. Im worried about the injury to Gianluca Faliva and I need to wait until I know whether he will available for the two Test matches in Romania and Japan.

Ghial Calvisano won the other semi-final first leg 22-19 at Arix Viadana.
