Morris withdraws from Wales duty
25 May 2004, 10:12 am
Leicester prop Darren Morris' Wales comeback has been put on hold until at least next month.
Morris, who last represented his country in November 2001, had been selected on the bench for Wednesday night's game against the Barbarians at Ashton Gate.

But Leicester's appearance in the Premiership wildcard final against Sale Sharks at Twickenham next Saturday means that Morris now has club commitments this week.

He has withdrawn from the Wales 22 as a result, with coach Mike Ruddock calling up Newport Gwent Dragons lock Peter Sidoli instead.

Morris and Celtic Warriors prop Gethin Jenkins had originally been selected as prop cover.

But Morris will tour Argentina and South Africa with Wales next month, when an international return seems certain.
