Unless Quins are involved in next weeks Premiership wildcard final, Leonard is set for his final competitive appearance before calling time on an outstanding career.

The 35-year-old prop, holder of a world record 114 Test caps, will be on the bench when Quins target victory over French challengers Montferrand and an automatic European Cup place next season.

It looks certain that he will appear at some stage of the Madejski Stadium action, and his reception from an anticipated 15,000-plus crowd should be worth the entrance fee alone.

Jason has been a fantastic servant to Harlequins over the years, and it is a pretty emotional time for him, as it is for the whole squad, said Quins skipper Andre Vos.

With that in mind, there is the desire to go out and finish things on a high note.

Montferrand can call upon the likes of France stars Olivier Magne, Tony Marsh, Aurelien
Rougerie, Gerald Merceron and Gloucester-bound Olivier Azam.

It was a great day, recalled Greenwood. And I am sure it will be noisy - it will be colourful and loud.

Its another opportunity for us. This is a great competition but, with respect, it is one clubs would rather not be in.

I am quite glad we didnt meet Montferrand before the final. They are a fantastic side, and looking at who has done what for them this year, you have Merceron, Rougerie, Floch, Mignoni and Magne, the list goes on. They are a world-class outfit.

Where can we take our positives? Well, they have not been to England this season and won yet.

They have taken teams back to their place and thumped them, but they have not jumped on a plane and come to England and quite performed to the same standards that they perform at their own stadium. We have to look at that.

Montferrand fly-half Merceron believes that victory for the French club would erase memories of a disappointing French Championship campaign.

We are determined to win in order to wipe out the domestic problems we have had this season, he said.

We feel less pressure against English sides, who like to play the ball a lot more than teams in the French Championship. Our standard of rugby has been significantly higher in
Europe than in domestic competition.

The matches are more disciplined and the referees act with more rigour. In fact, everything is put in place for the games to produce as much entertaining rugby as possible."
