Taylor on road to recovery
29 April 2004, 1:57 pm
Scotland international Simon Taylor is confident his knee ligament injury will not keep him from returning to full fitness.
The Edinburgh Gunners number eight suffered the injury in the final RBS 6 Nations game against Ireland in Dublin last month and is expected to be out for the rest of the year.

The Lions back-row forward is now moving relatively freely again but is refusing to rush his comeback to action.

Taylor said: "I was aware of a strange noise and a feeling Id not experienced before like a scrunch in my knee and knew straight away from the sharp pain I was in trouble.

"So far, Ive had to be cautious because there is a body of opinion against rushing straight into physiotherapy before my knee has settled down again, but it is feeling fine."
