France centre Yannick Jauzion is still celebrating following Les Bleus' 24-21 victory over England at the Stade de France on Saturday.
The defeat of the world champions earned France their eighth Grand Slam and helped take some of the sting out of last years World Cup semi-final defeat to England.
Jauzion has continued the scintillating form he showed in Australia and proved an able deputy for the injured Tony Marsh, linking with great effect with Damien Traille in the centre.
We showed the English that they had to stop being arrogant, and thinking that they can always win, said Jauzion.
They have to show us respect.
French rugby union boss Bernard Lapasset, although understandably delighted at winning the Grand Slam, admitted it did not quite vanquish the memory of the World Cup disappointment.
This was a dream night with a French crowd that had a great time from the start to the end, said Lapasset.
We were expecting a lot of English fans but they were beaten as well.
We still think about it (the World Cup semi-final) and we still feel a twinge of sadness when we mention it.
This match won at the Stade de France gives us some regrets about the World Cup but we know we can beat the English and we should not miss out when we meet them again.
