The RBS 6 Nations game against Italy had the worst conditions I have ever been involved in.
You have to praise Ireland for being so ruthless and clinical in picking up a 19-3 win. It was a good performance. I even got blown over myself so its hard to gauge a win like that.
I was also pleased with the performance of Geordan Murphy, back on the wing after injury. He brings a real cutting edge to the back division.
The only dampener was an injury to flanker Keith Gleeson. Hell miss the Scotland game with a broken arm, which is a big blow for Ireland.
But I think that his replacement David Wallace is ready to come back. Hes a totally different sort of player to Keith - hes fast, powerful and a good runner and I think he has got his confidence back after a series of injuries.
His mobility around the pitch is probably why Eddie OSullivan has preferred him to Victor Costello, who actually came on as a substitute for Gleeson against Italy.
The only other change is Paul OConnell coming back in for Donnacha O'Callaghan in the second row. Donnacha will of course be disappointed but I think hell understand that Paul is first choice.
So now it is down to the final Saturday of the season with all three RBS 6 Nations matches taking place on the same day.
Ireland have got a good chance of picking up their first Triple Crown since 1985 and also a slim chance of lifting the championship.
We need England to beat France by a narrow margin and then for us to put 50-odd points on Scotland. The chances of that happening are small but Id love it if it did.
The Triple Crown would mean a lot. This team has been together for a long time and worked so hard, it deserves that silverware - its why you play the game.
But first they have to get past Scotland, who come to Lansdowne Road trying to avoid a whitewash.
Theyre in a very difficult situation, possibly because they dont have a huge number of top class players.
I think their pack is very good but they lack that bit of oomph in the back division and well have too much for them out wide. Im confident Ireland can see them off and win our first Triple Crown for 19 years.
