Italy lock Santiago Dellape is doubtful for the RBS 6 Nations game against Wales in Cardiff through injury.
The Benetton Treviso second row sprained his left ankle during Tuesday's training in Dublin and will have to wait until Wednesday to find out if he will be available for selection.
Italy have high hopes of securing their second win in the competition against Wales following their solid performance against Ireland at the weekend.
But Dellape's injury is an added setback for Azzurri coach John Kirwan, who also has Fabio Ongaro struggling with injury - the hooker damaged his left knee during Saturday's 19-3 defeat by Ireland.
However, the medical team remain optimistic that Ongaro will recover in time, with the player set to return to training on Wednesday morning prior to Italy departing for Cardiff.
