Scotland full-back Derrick Lee is looking forward to taking on France with his own particular brand of rugby.
The Edinburgh player replaces club-mate Brendan Laney as coach Matt Williams looks for some inspiration after three successive RBS 6 Nations defeats prior to Sundays meeting with a powerful French side.
But the former Watsonian, who was brought into the Scotland squad for the first time in three years against Italy, claims he will just be trying to play his normal game.
He said: I wouldnt say I like to play off the cuff. Maybe I try things but if you dont do that then its obviously going to be a boring game to watch and youre going to come off the field thinking youve not done everything you possibly could.
Ive spoken to Matt and I know what Im supposed to be doing. Its just a matter of me assessing the situation and trying to make the right decisions.
I want to try things if they are on and hopefully they will be now and again.
But I dont feel that Im under pressure personally. Its going to be a tough game but Im not any under more pressure than I am playing for Edinburgh, you have to play your best for your team no matter who it is and who you are playing.
Im not even thinking about Scotlands previous games in this championship. Im just lucky enough to be picked to play for my country so I cant wait to get out there.
Lee, however, admits the Scots will have to scale unprecedented heights if they are to have any chance against Les Bleus.
He said: Were playing one of the best teams in the world and weve not won a match so were up against it.
Well certainly need to play better than we have done in every match so far. I think the team that played against England played really well and showed a lot of heart but we gave away some soft tries.
England deserved to win but the soft tries we gave away made it easier for them and gave them a cushion.
If we can stop that and play well then we could keep the game close.
