Wakarua will fight for starting spot

Fly-half Rima Wakarua is determined to win back his place in Italy's starting line up after being dropped for the recent win against Scotland.

The ADMO Leonessa Brescia forward found himself on the bench for most of last weekends 20-14 RBS 6 Nations victory over the Scots, a result which makes his side favourites to avoid the wooden spoon.

Wakarua was understandably disappointed to make way for Overmach Parmas Roland De Marigny and outlined his determination to win back the number 10 jersey.

He told www.giornaledibrescia.it: (Coach) John Kirwan has explained to me why he chose De Marigny instead of me against the Scots.

I'm very grateful for his honesty and I will do everything I can to get the number 10 back.
