Antonio Del Fava joins Italy training

Italy coach John Kirwan has called up uncapped Overmach Parma forward Carlo Antonio Del Fava to train with the national team.

If the 22-year-old second row impresses then he could feature in Kirwans squad for Italys final two RBS 6 Nations matches against Ireland, on March 20, and Wales seven days later.

Kirwan could also welcome back captain Alessandro Troncon, who has missed the opening three RBS 6 Nations matches with a knee injury.

The Azzurri coach will assess Troncons fitness when the scrum-half plays for Benetton Treviso in this weekends Coppa Italia match against Rugby Roma.
