Italy may have spent the weekend celebrating only their third-ever win in the RBS 6 Nations but the star of Saturday's victory, Leandro Castrogiovanni, still wants more.
Castrogiovanni was named man of the match as Italy beat Scotland 20-14 but the 22-year-old prop has called on his side to follow that triumph up with another victory when they travel to Wales on March 27.
Italy next face Ireland in Dublin and although Castrogiovanni admits they are unlikely to win at Lansdowne Road, he feels the Azzurri are more than capable of beating the Welsh in Cardiff.
For the game in Dublin we will face a team who are flying very high at present after conquering Twickenham, Castrogiovanni said.
In the last game we will go to Cardiff where we would really like to get the points and win our first ever away game in this tournament, he added.
Castrogiovanni was delighted with both his own performance and that of his team-mates in the win over Scotland, believing the victory to be thoroughly deserved.
I think that was a beautiful game of rugby, he said. Maybe not spectacular but intense and dramatic with the Scottish trying everything they could to upset us and return to their country with a victory.
But we really deserve that victory as we were always at the top of our game.
Im very happy to be given the man of match award also because is very difficult for a prop to get this achievement, especially during the RBS 6 Nations, he added.
