Italy team manager Marco Bollesan has urged the squad to build on Saturday's win over Scotland with a repeat performance against Wales.
The Azzurri secured their first victory of this year's tournament with a 20-14 scoreline over the Scots, and although Bollesan was a little disappointed with the performance he firmly believes the Italians can now move on and record their first ever RBS 6 Nations away win against the Welsh.
''It wasn't the best rugby game I've seen,'' he admitted.
And I'm a little disappointed about the Scottish, I was expecting a bit more if you considered before the World Cup they scored almost 50 points against us in a friendly game.
But let's just say this is the victory which will be very good for the Italian Rugby movement, Bollesan said.
Now I'm really looking forward to going to the Millennium Stadium to challenge the Welsh.
They are 100 per cent better than last year, but if we can produce the same performance we did in Rome maybe we can conquer Cardiff.
And this will give me a lot of joy believe me, Bollesan added.
Victory would be another landmark for Italy who have never triumphed on foreign soil since joining the existing Five Nations in 2000.
It would also be the first time Italy have won two matches in one RBS 6 Nations season.
