Shane Williams is confident Wales can quickly atone for their Dublin drubbing by seriously denting France's title hopes in the RBS 6 Nations clash in Cardiff.
The Neath-Swansea flier believes the 36-15 defeat against Ireland will prove a minor blip on Wales' road back to becoming a major rugby force.
Williams knows unbeaten France will prove tough opposition at the Millennium Stadium but insists Wales should not be overawed by their opponents famed back line.
"We let ourselves down against Ireland, although the Irish played really well," admitted Williams.
"It was just one of those games, when we couldn't get a foothold and nothing seemed to go right for us. It felt as though I spent a long time watching their driving mauls.
"I would say it was more of a hiccup though, than a step back.
Hopefully, everyone has now addressed the problems, and we can move on.
We were gutted that we didn't perform, and we know that we can play a lot better.
"France are a different threat from Scotland and Ireland.
I've always enjoyed the way France play. They've got a unique style, and the word flair sums it up perfectly.
"I admire the way France play the game. It would be nice to be in a back-line like that, but luckily for me, I am Welsh, and I think we are just as good as far as flair and speed are concerned."
