The 27-year-old has played the majority of his international rugby off the bench of late with England coach Stuart Lancaster preferring Owen Farrell at No.10 during the RBS 6 Nations.
Flood’s contract at Leicester Tigers expires next season and if he were to follow former England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson to France it would likely spell the end of his international career with the Red Rose only calling up overseas-based players in exceptional circumstances.
But Flood, who was the top points scorer as England won the RBS 6 Nations in 2011, insists he’s happy where he is.
“I love it here. In some regards it is nice to be linked with France but nothing has been said," Flood said.
“There is always speculation but I am enjoying my time here and for me there is only one club in England you want to be at and it is this one.
“We will head out this summer and when we come back things will start moving in the last year. Historically contract negotiations start in the season it runs out and nothing has really changed.
“I am very much focused on getting it right on the field going towards the end of the year and the play-offs and hopefully the final.”
