Kirwan delays Azzurri selection

Italy coach John Kirwan is hopeful of recovering injured Azzurri centre Manuel Dallan in time for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with France.

Dallan suffered a right ankle injury in the second half of Sundays 50-9 defeat to England at the Stadio Flaminio and was stretchered off.

The fitness of Dallan has forced Kirwan to delay naming his team until Friday when they will have arrived in Paris.

The good news for Italy is that Dallons brother Denis, a winger, has fully recovered from a shoulder injury and is available to face Les Bleus.
