RBS 6 Nations official Championship app reaches 500,000 downloads

The RBS 6 Nations official Championship app, brought to you by Accenture, has already reached 500,000 downloads after just two rounds of the 2013 tournament.

Between January 1 and February 22, the total number of downloads of the app, was 529,125 – 441,205 on iPhone and iPad (including updates from last year) and 87,990 on Android (including Kindle Fire HD).

Across both formats, the app has also proved a hit in terms of highest ranking figures in the UK and Ireland.

On iPhone and iPad, it was the second ranked sports app in the UK from February 2-14 and in Ireland it was the second ranked sports app from February 8-15.

And on Android, it was the number three sports app in the UK from February 8-14 and from February 8-17, it was the number one sports app in Ireland.

On Saturday February 9, the RBS 6 Nations official Championship app was second in the “top new apps” for Android list in Ireland and on Sunday February 10, it was third in the same list.
