Horan ruled out of France clash

Munster prop Marcus Horan has been ruled out of Ireland's opening RBS 6 Nations championship clash with France in Paris on Saturday because of a back injury.

Stand-by front row forwards Justin Fitzpatrick and Simon Best, who sustained a rib injury playing for Ulster at the weekend, joined the squad on Monday as replacements.

Coach Eddie OSullivan will name his line-up on Tuesday, when he will also check on the fitness of skipper Brian ODriscoll, who is battling to overcome a calf injury.
