The Dutch-born flyer was not eligible for selection by Scotland head coach Andy Robinson for this year’s RBS 6 Nations but qualified under the three-year residency rule in time for the summer tour to the Pacific.
He notched two tries on debut against Samoa in a 37-25 win and helped the Scots to end their tour, which included a 9-6 win over Australia, unbeaten with a win over Fiji.
Visser’s ability to sniff out a try is well established having been the Celtic League’s top try scorer for the past three seasons.
But thoughts of gaining a fourth successive crown were far from his mind after Edinburgh ’s 23-18 loss to the 2011 Pro 12 champions and he admitted to being frustrated that his team didn’t get the win their play deserved.
“Munster shouldn't have won this game,” said Visser.
“They played half the game we did but compared to last year we have made huge progress.
“We dominated physically and we are putting good phases together but just our inability to keep hold of the ball at crucial moments meant we lost this game.
“It's hugely frustrating because we dominated them physically in the contact.
“They (the tries) were all good, it’s good just getting what I can from the players around me.
“They are putting me away which helps and I am always happy to finish things up.”
