Corbisiero set for October return

England prop Alex Corbisiero has pencilled in October for his return to action from the knee injury which ruled him out of the third Test against South Africa this summer.

Corbisiero started every match of this year’s RBS 6 Nations with his scrummaging prowess highlighted in England’s dominance over the Ireland pack in the last game of the Championship.

But his luck didn’t hold in the Southern Hemisphere and the 23-year-old only featured in the second Test inJohannesburg.

And with Corbisiero still unable to fully participate in training he has been left to spectate on his teammates atEngland’s training camp this week in Loughborough.

"I'll be there cheering the boys on (in the fitness tests) and then be in the gym, the pool and the rehab room but I'll be watching so I'm involved and I know what's going on so when I do return I'm up to speed," said Corbisiero.

"Our ultimate goal is to win a World Cup in our own country and we've got a great squad and a great Saxons squad with a ton a talent to come through and bolster us further.

"It's brilliant to have everyone here together, getting us all on the same page. Guys like myself and Chris Robshaw (thumb injury) are not training fully but we're here and all want to be on the journey to 2015 and beyond."
