Wing Visser, 25, touched down twice on tour this summer, both tries coming during his first cap in a 37-25 win in Lautoka.

A week later against Samoa he drew a blank but Scotland ended their summer travails unbeaten, easing the pain of their 2012 RBS 6 Nations whitewash.

Should head coach Andy Robinson stick with Visser, the Celtic League’s top try-scorer for three years running, he will make his first Test start in front of home support in the autumn  - and the prospect excites him.

“It’s good that Scotland are playing the world champions next,” Visser told the Scotsman.

“It’s a brilliant test and good for me personally to maybe get in front of a home crowd which is something I haven’t done yet.

“It would be incredible in terms of being one of the biggest games I have ever played in – if I get the chance.”

Should he line up at Murrayfield against the All Blacks on November 10, Visser would win his third cap but for now he’s happy just reliving his first.

“My emotions at the time were of standing on the pitch and just wanting to start and get my first cap,” he added.

“When the first whistle went in my head I felt brilliant. That was that one box ticked.

“Then getting my first try – helped by Nick De Luca, who was brilliant as always in providing a scoring pass –was another tick and typically he was also involved for my second try.

“As hard going as it was in the heat, I wouldn’t have done it any differently.”
