Healy has only Ospreys on his mind

Ireland prop Cian Healy insists Leinster's players aren't thinking about establishing a legacy as they aim to be the first Irish province to win the Heineken Cup and their domestic title in the same season.

Healy, 24, was part of the Irish scrum which were given a rough ride by England in the last round of the RBS 6 Nations leaving Ireland third in the Championship table.

Eight Leinster players were in the starting XV at Twickenham that day but the loss was exorcised last weekend when they won the Heineken Cup - with a 42-14 victory over Ulster on the same pitch.

The win gave Leinster a third European crown in four years – a feat not even Heineken Cup aristocrats Toulouse have managed to perform.

A third Celtic League title is now on the cards for Leinster if they can resist Ospreys in Sunday’s final.

But Healy insists the European champions can’t afford to focus anything other than defeating their Welsh opponents.

“It’s something that we strive for to make a legacy of what your team is but it’s not something you stop and think about,” said Healy.

“It’s always something you want to continue and get better and better but you never have that if you can stop, and not go through this week or chase that win and get to finals.

“It’s nothing that they’re (Ospreys) not capable of either (beating us).

“We’re clued into that and having everything in the right place and right set-up to win it.”
