Ryder is one of 11 Warriors, who reached the PRO12 semi-finals, in the squad while Edinburgh also feature heavily, having made it to the last four of the Heineken Cup for the first time in their history.
And while Ryder is not underestimating the challenge that awaits, he’s convinced Scotland, who were whitewashed during the RBS 6 Nations, can get back to winning ways this summer.
“I was really pleased to get the call from Andy, I’m honoured to be put on the tour with what is a small squad with some really good players do I’m happy included,” Ryder told www.glasgowwarriors.org.
“The Glasgow season this year has amazing and there have been some excellent results with a number of players coming to the fore.
“Winning is a habit and with 11 Warriors in the squad and a lot of Edinburgh players who have performed well in the Heineken Cup, hopefully we can take that form on with us and get some results.
“That kind of mentality is going to be very important going into three massive tests and they’ll all be difficult games in their own right.
“Australia speaks for itself really and then Fiji and Samoa, they all play in the top leagues in Europe and they are no easy proposition so we will have to be at the top of our game.”
