Scotland boss Andy Robinson has been handed a boost with the news that Scottish international duo Graeme Morrison and John Barclay are likely to return to domestic action before the end of the season ahead of a summer tour to the Southern Hemisphere.
Morrison and Barclay, who both featured for the Scots during their winless RBS 6 Nations campaign, are making good progress in their recoveries from their respective knee and head injuries suffered with the Glasgow Warriors at the end of March.

And with a three Test tour to Australasia starting on June 5 where they will play Australia, Fiji and Samoa, Scotland head coach Andy Robinson will be thrilled his players are set to be given a clean bill of health.

Warriors head coach Sean Lineen welcomes back the pair at a crucial stage of the season with Glasgow still very much in contention for the play-offs in the Pro12.

“This is the business end of the season and it doesn't get any bigger than this one in terms of what it will mean going into the last game against Connacht,” said Lineen.

“The players are really energised and want to go all the way. We've got to front up against Treviso, we need to get that win.

“Our forwards know set-piece time is crucial. The Italians are famous for their good work from set-pieces.

“Treviso have a pack full of internationals and it's going to be physical. We need to play in the right areas and keep our discipline.

“The guys are buzzed by the challenge and looking forward to it. Two years ago, we made the play-offs then the semi-finals were a bridge too far for us.

“This time, the players are really energised and want to go all the way. I've been really impressed by their attitude.

“The guys are gearing up for a really big effort and they can do it, they are good enough.

“The satisfaction I get is from seeing players getting into the Scotland set-up and doing something special for Glasgow.”
