The home side provided the perfect response to their 40-9 hammering by England at The Stoop last month to record their second win of a stop-start championship.

Danny Wilson’s side conclude their campaign at home against Les Bleus next week and Ospreys academy prospect Baker believes there is even more to come from him.

“Overall I’m pretty pleased with how I played but there is always room for improvement,” said Baker.

“It was just great seeing the line come in after the ball came to me, it seemed like it was going on forever.

“We always knew Italy were a tough side who are dominant around the contact area, and we practiced for it in training.

“But I thought the boys did well to come out with a victory, especially after the England game two weeks ago.”
