Parisse relishing the Wales challenge

Italy captain Sergio Parisse admits his must deliver a perfect performance to stand any chance against Wales in their RBS 6 Nations clash - with Warren Gatland's troops chasing down a Grand Slam.
Italy have yet to taste victory in their opening three games and the Stade Francais No.8 claims the prospect of ending that losing run at the Millennium Stadium looks unlikely.

The 42-10 defeat at the hands of Ireland last time out has hit the Azzurri’s confidence hard and the 28-year-old believes the only hope for his side is to go out all guns blazing and catch the Welsh side on their heels.

Parisse said: "We beat Wales in 2007 in Rome, but at this moment I can't say that we really can beat Wales because they are playing fantastic rugby.

“Going to Cardiff to the Millennium Stadium against this team is probably something impossible for us.

“Every time we go on the field we go out to win because we believe that we have the possibility to do it but for sure, we must play the perfect match. Everyone must [play] his best match of this year to beat Wales.

"Without doubt [Wales] are the best team at this moment in the competition. Probably the staff and unconsciously even the players are thinking more about the match against France because probably it's possible for them to win the Grand Slam.

"But I think they respect us as a team and they know we are not the best team in this competition but if they don't take the match seriously, probably we can put them under pressure."
