The Welsh Women's captain, Rachel Taylor, appeared before an independent Six Nations disciplinary committee today, chaired by Pat Barriscale assisted by George Spotswood and David Hurley (all from Ireland).
Having heard all the evidence presented by the RFUW, including video evidence of the incident, and reports from the England No 1, Laura Keates, and the England team doctor, the committee found that the player had committed an of foul play in contravention of Law 10.4(b) in that she recklessly made contact with her boot to the face of an opposition player. They considered that a sanction of four weeks was appropriate in this particular case. The player is free to play again on Monday 26 March.
