Green: England will be our biggest test yet
3 March 2012, 2:07 pm
By Sportsbeat
Italy Under-20s head coach Craig Green has warned his side that they face their biggest test yet in Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with England.
England are the defending champions and have started this year’s Championship in fine form with the two wins from two, racking up 99 points in the process.

Italy on the other hand are still searching for their first win after reverses to France and Ireland to open up the tournament.

But Green has seen enough over those two performances to convince him that a big result could be just around the corner for his troops.

“England need no introduction, runners-up in the Junior World Championships last year, they have proven their competitiveness in the first two games against Scotland and Wales,” he said.

“But we have to focus solely on the game. We have made some changes, some by necessity and some by choice, while retaining the backbone of the team that started the tournament.

“In the match against Ireland in Athlone the team took several steps forward compared to the opener with France.

“We have been together for some weeks and we can approach the England clash safe in the knowledge that we have prepared as well as possible.”
