Brown: We can take positives from Les Bleues loss

Scotland Women's RBS 6 Nations woes may have continued with a 23-0 defeat by France on Saturday but returning captain Susie Brown insists that elusive first win is just around the corner.
Two tries from second-row Cyrielle Bouisset and one each from No.8 Aida Ba and Gaelle Mignot helped Les Bleues to their third straight victory – but the Scots remain pointless after losses to England and Wales earlier in the tournament.

Despite Karen Findlay’s side failing to score a point in 2012 Brown, back from injury on Saturday, saw an improvement in the second half and with Ireland next up on March 9 the No.8 is eager to rectify that particular statistic.

Brown told the Scotsman: “France are an incredibly skilful side and though I was a bit disappointed with our some of our execution I felt we had a better second half performance. I definitely saw an improvement on our previous two performances.

“It was really great to be back on the pitch with the team. The facilities at Stirling are great and we had really good support from the crowd.”

Findlay was equally adamant that her side will come good, despite losing their last ten RBS 6 Nations matches.

She said: “We showed more composure and our platform ball, in a lot of respects, was better in this match.

“We just needed that one extra pass. Three performances in and the girls deserve some points.”
