Youngs was dropped in favour of Dickson and featured for 20 minutes as Wales ran out 19-12 winners at Twickenham while Flood was called into action with 65 minutes on the clock.
Both have been included in interim head coach Lancaster’s training group at Loughborough University as England slowly begin their preparations for the clash with France on March 11.
The squad will remain together until Thursday with a selection of players expected to be released on Wednesday evening to train with their clubs ahead of the weekend’s Premiership fixtures.
Flood and Youngs won’t have to travel far if they are released and, with Leicester hosting Gloucester on Sunday, Cockerill is quietly confident of having his half-back pairing back for it.
“It all depends what England want to do but I would like to think that both Ben Youngs and Toby Flood will come back to us,” said Cockerill.
“Gloucester is a massive game for us. They are a good side and are hard on our heels. We need to be spot on in everything we do and that starts with training.”
