Ireland resume their campaign on February 25 against Italy before their rematch with Les Bleus, followed by Scotland before rounding their campaign off away to England on March 17.

But despite the energy-sapping schedule ahead of them, the 24-year-old believes the decision could be a blessing in disguise.

“It is going to be tough with the four matches in a row. We’ll have to keep pulling out big performances week in week out,” he said.

“In a sense it is kind of like going back to the World Cup but it is good and I like it.

“It will allow us to build momentum without any breaks in the middle so it’ll be a nice challenge for us.

“I’ll be well prepared going into the run. I always am so I won’t be too worried about it.”

Ireland were warming up on the Stade de France pitch before the difficult decision was made to postpone the match.

But the Ireland prop believes despite the disappointment of the game being called off, the spirit in the Ireland camp has never been better.

“It was a bit annoying, but it wasn’t a loss,” insisted Healy.

“We were ready for the game but we have to put that to one side and now we have to re-prepare get ready for a different game.

“Training is really good, it is enjoyable. And everything is in the same complex. So it is nice out there as we’re forming a bit of a community with what we do.”
