Mark Cueto's try helped Sale to a vital win over Bath on Saturday

England wing Mark Cueto grabbed Sale's solitary try to help the Sharks to a narrow victory over Bath at the Rec in the Aviva Premiership.

Bath advanced into a 10-0 lead at the half-time interval but Cueto crossed after a Nick McLeod penalty before the fly-half converted the try and kicked two more goals to seal the win a 16-13 win.

Elsewhere, England half-back duo Ben Youngs and Toby Flood combined to devastating effect as Leicester Tigers edged a thrilling clash with Northampton, 30-25.

Scrum-half Youngs was one of four try-scorers for the Tigers while Flood notched two conversions and two penalties in a match that saw Alesana Tuilagi and England flanker Tom Wood both receive red cards. Wing Chris Ashton was among the scorers for Saints but it was not enough to stop his side slipping to defeat.

On Friday night, England RBS Six Nations hopefuls Ollie Morgan and James Simpson-Daniel both scored tries for Gloucester but it was not enough to stop basement boys Newcastle Falcons picking up a much-needed and thrilling 26-25 victory.
