Tighthead prop Jones has established himself as a key player for club and country and the Ospreys will be hoping he is back to 100 per cent before their Heineken Cup double header against Biarritz and Treviso.
But with the 2012 RBS 6 Nations fast approaching, Ospreys boss Sean Holley delivered some positive news to Warren Gatland on Jones’ fitness situation.
He said: “Adam has trained really well and there are positive signs. I don’t want to excite myself too much, but the signs are good for an involvement next weekend.
“He’s done a little bit of running, a lot of work on his conditioning to make sure he doesn’t lose any of that work he did in the summer and he did his first one-man scrummaging on Friday and came through pretty good.
“In his stage of rehab he couldn’t be in a better position. He is on target. Let’s see how it goes over the next few days.”
