Stephen Jones
Stephen Jones has been impressed with the form of fly-half rival Rhys Priestland
Jones praises Priestland form

While Wales sweat on the fitness of Rhys Priestland for their semi-final clash with France, the rival for his red No.10 shirt Stephen Jones has praised his Scarlets teammate's World Cup form.
Jones wasn’t in the 22-man squad as Priestland conducted a famous 22-10 victory over Ireland in their quarter-final and looks to have made the fly-half position his own in the face of competition from both Jones and James Hook.

However a shoulder injury picked up in the win over the men in green has put his involvement against France in doubt, the 24-year-old not being able to train all week.

But for Jones, whatever happens come Saturday, the displays from his outside-half rival in getting Wales to the semi-final cannot be overlooked.

"I thought he was outstanding, it's as simple as that," said Jones.

"Against Ireland his distribution was excellent; his balance in his game was top draw.

"Defensively he was sound and he controlled the game very well so I thought he had a great game.

"He is a very cool customer. He's an intelligent man. He works hard on his game. He's a good professional."
