Brian O'Driscoll
Brian O'Driscoll is back in the fold to face France on Saturday
O'Driscoll returns to strong Irish line-up

Ireland boss Declan Kidney has been boosted by the return of skipper Brian O'Driscoll for Saturday's World Cup warm-up with France.
The Emerald Isle’s record try scorer was sidelined with a shoulder injury which forced him out of the recent defeats to France and Scotland.

O’Driscoll is set to make his first appearance of the summer as one of ten changes as Kidney returns to a near full-strength starting line-up at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

Gordon D’Arcy is drafted in to partner O’Driscoll in the middle of the park, while Jonathan Sexton will play alongside Tomas O’Leary at half-back.

Jamie Heaslip and Paul O’Connell play from the start, with Sean O’Brien moving to blindside flanker and Felix Jones making his first start at 15.

Ulster’s Stephen Ferris is named as a replacement after recovering from a knee injury which has ruled him out since January.

On Thursday evening, an Irish select XV will challenge Connacht as Kidney runs the rule over his possible World Cup selections ahead of Monday’s 30-man squad announcement.
