And Davies – who started four of Wales’ RBS 6 Nations matches – believes Henson’s playmaking attributes can help bring the best out of him.

“We could play together in this Baa-Baas game,” said Davies.

“Obviously, nothing is set in stone. It all depends how the coaches see it really and how they play it.

“Hopefully, I get some game time and a good run of form. If we were to be selected together then I would look forward to the chance to work alongside him.

“He is a talented player and it would be a good test for me and him to get some game time against a good side.

“He is a good ball player having spent much of his early career playing No 10 and he is also a very physical player in defence.

“He is a man who can create chances and he brings a lot to the squad and will be looking to take his chance.”
