Lewis Moody
Moody will be hoping to force his way back into a Red Rose shirt for the World Cup after returning from injury
Moody returns for Bath

England captain Lewis Moody was granted a clean bill of health after making his return to action in Bath's resounding 43-10 St George's Day defeat of Wasps.
Moody was making his first appearance since injuring his knee in the Heineken Cup clash with Aironi in January that caused him to miss the 2011 RBS 6 Nations.

Before the match, the 31-year-old was given a scare after picking up a dead leg in training but came through 50 minutes of the six-try mauling with no adverse effects and should be fit for Bath’s remaining matches.

"It tightened up over Thursday and Friday but that's just a muscle strain, the knee is 100 per cent,” he said. “I didn't have a twinge from the game and the England medics are happy.”

Moody showed enough glimpses at Twickenham to convince Bath boss Sir Ian McGeechan that he is close to being back to his best.

“The medics are not worried,” added McGeechan. “That's why he captains England.

"He leads by example and just wanted to play and get some tough training in, which he has for the last two weeks."
