The Official Online RBS 6 Nations Store is open. The store has everything you need to get behind your team during the RBS 6 Nations, plus the store is now fully stocked with a much wider range of rugby merchandise.
The Blues came out on top 29-9 but it came at a cost with Halfpenny now out for two weeks and set to miss at least the clashes against the Dragons and Scarlets if not Wales’ World Cup warm-up games.
Halfpenny missed the start of the RBS 6 Nations with a sprained ankle and Cardiff director of rugby Dai Young admits he will be sorely missed as the Blues bid to make the play-offs.
“His ankle is a concern,” said Young. “He has got to see the medics but how serious it is I couldn’t tell you. He’s hobbling about a bit and they’ve put him on crutches as a precaution.
“I would have thought he is definitely not going to be available for Rodney Parade, even if it’s a slight twist it’s a week to two weeks.
“So we’ve got to keep our fingers crossed it’s not going to affect him for Wales’ warm-up games and so on. It’s looking very unlikely he’ll figure in the two remaining games even if it’s a minor injury.”
