The Blues are battling it out for a play-off place but will have to do without their 98-times capped international, but are hopeful 22-year-old Sam Warburton will be back.

Back rower Warburton suffered a knee injury in Wales’ RBS 6 Nations 28-9 to France but is on track to feature against the Dragons, making Young’s job to let Williams go an easier one.

“It's a unique opportunity, probably once in a lifetime,” Young said.

“I'd be quite mean really to stop Martyn going and obviously we'd have a number of options available.”
