Walker called-up to Scotland team

Scotland have been forced to make a change in their team for tomorrow's RBS 6 Nations Championship match against Italy at Murrayfield (kick-off 2.30pm).

In spite of intensive treatment Glasgow Warriors’ Max Evans has not recovered sufficiently from an ankle strain he sustained against England last weekend.

Nikki Walker, the 29-year-old Ospreys wing, will replace Evans. Walker will be winning his 22nd cap.

Scotland head coach Andy Robinson said: “Our medical team have worked tirelessly as ever but Max is not quite right for the rigours of a Test match.

“We wish him a speedy recovery. Nikki has been part of our squad throughout the championship and played in our last Murrayfield international against Ireland. This is a golden opportunity for him now to produce a special performance.

“We approach tomorrow with confidence and determined to give the Murrayfield crowd a lot to cheer about.”

Tickets for tomorrow’s match are still on sale and start at £15 (students/under-18s) and £30 for adults. You can buy online on www.scottishrugby.org and on the 24-hour hotline (0844 335 3933) until 12 midnight tonight (Friday). Tickets are also available in person from the Ticket Centre at Murrayfield Stadium, which is open 9am-8pm tonight (Friday). Please note there are no ticket sales on match day.
