Marc Lievremont
Lievremont admits he said some things in the heat of the moment after naming his side for the last time in this year's RBS 6 Nations
Five changes for regretful Lievremont

By Sportsbeat
Under-pressure France boss Marc Lievremont has made five changes to the side that suffered a shock 22-21 RBS 6 Nations defeat to Italy, but has retracted some of his damning criticism of Les Bleus.
In the aftermath of their first ever Six Nations defeat to Italy, Lievremont accused his team of cowardice and said some of them had played their last game for France having ‘betrayed the shirt’.

Prop Sylvain Marconnet, No.8 Sebastien Chabal, centres Yannick Jauzion and Aurelien Rougerie, lock Jerome Thion and full-back Clement Pointrenaud have all been left out of the 22.

In their place there is a new centre combination in Damien Traille and David Marty, while prop Thomas Domingo and No.8 Imanol Harinordoquy are recalled.

Winger Alexis Palisson gets his first start of the 2011 Championship and there is fresh blood on the bench in the form of Clermont back-row forward Alexandre Lapandry, Stade Francais lock Pascal Pape and Brive back Fabrice Estebanez.

And Lievremont has called for Wales to feel the backlash of their Rome disappointment.

"I regret some of the things I said on Sunday morning, when I said that some players had probably played their last match for France," he said.

"It was clumsy of me, although I still maintain that changes have to be made.

"In defeat it's everyone's responsibility and so it's always difficult to choose and turn things around. It's normal that the five or six players who I took out the squad feel hard done by.

"We need to keep working with the majority of the team which lost in Rome, on how to fight back, channel our anger, regain our cohesion and win back our pride because the Welsh are an excellent rugby team.

"I can hardly send out a team of first-year professionals in such a trying context."
