Scotland have enjoyed a less than successful Six Nations campaign, losing all three of their games, but can still boast a win over world champions South Africa and a 2-0 series win in Argentina in their last eight matches.

And it is the form Scotland showed in the summer that proves to Leicester Tigers scrum-half Youngs that Andy Robinson’s troops must be given the utmost respect.

“Scotland are very dangerous. They beat South Africa in the autumn and we got beaten by them,” Youngs said.

“Every game in the Six Nations is very tough and Scotland v England and the rivalry and everything that comes with it brings a bit of spice.

“A Grand Slam is in sight, but at the same time Scotland lie ahead of us. We have enough talent to overcome the obstacles ahead of us.

“It’s about performing at the weekend and having the right attitude towards the game.”
