Jonathan Sexton
Jonathan Sexton was in impressive form for Leinster against the Scarlets
Sexton lays down marker in fly-half tussle

Jonathan Sexton breathed new life into the battle for the Irish No.10 jersey after he kicked Leinster to victory over Scarlets in their Magners League clash.
The 25-year-old kicked four penalties and converted both his side’s tries in a 26-15 win that saw his side climb to second in the table before Saturday's matches.

Ireland head coach Declan Kidney now faces something of a selection headache when picking his starting fly-half for Ireland’s RBS 6 Nations clash against Wales next Saturday (March 12).

Sexton started Ireland’s first Six Nations game against Italy but was replaced by O’Gara after an uninspiring display and had to watch from the bench as O’Gara’s late drop-goal spared Ireland’s blushes in a 13-11 win.

Despite his heroics O’Gara returned to the bench for Ireland’s defeat against France but Sexton again failed to sparkle leaving the door open for the 108 cap veteran O’Gara to step in.

And the recalled 33-year-old needed no second invitation as he inspired Ireland to victory over Scotland last weekend to seemingly lay firm claim on the starting berth.
